Mandag aften var en baneløber i kampen mellem Portugal og Uruguay formentlig ekstra upopulær ved VM-slutrunden i Qatar.
Ind på banen kom en mand med et regnbueflag samt en blå t-shirt, der bare to forskellige budskaber.
Forrest på trøjen stod ‘Save Ukraine’, mens bagsiden er trøjen viste støtte til iranske kvinder med ordene ‘Respect for Iranian Women’.

Selvom særligt det regnbuefarvede flag vil være en rød klud i ansigtet af både VM-værterne fra Qatar og FIFA, så er det efterhånden kutyme, at baneløbere ikke bliver vist på tv.
Heller ikke i europæiske turneringer som eksempelvis den danske Superliga eller Champions League, bliver der vist billeder af baneløbere.
