- Aston Villa blander sig i toppen af Premier League. Lørdag gæstede Nottingham Forest, der omvendt er en del af bundkampen, Villa Park, og her fik tilskuerne virkelig noget for pengene.
- I første halvleg kunne hjemmeholdets fans strække armene i vejret hele tre gange, da et mål af Ollie Watkins og to mål af Douglas Luiz sendte Aston Villa på sejrskurs med en 3-0-føring. En Nottingham Forest-scoring lige før pausefløjt og en yderligere reducering kort efter pause bragte dog udeholdet tilbage i opgøret igen.
- Spændingen og håbet om et comeback forsvandt dog hurtigt igen for Forest, da Leon Bailey lukkede og slukkede med en scoring til 4-2 for Aston Villa efter 61 minutters spil. Resultatet efterlader Aston Villa på en fjerdeplads, mens Nottingham Forest blot er fire point over nedrykningsstregen.
